The Mannik & Smith Group, Inc. (MSG), an award-winning consulting firm, is seeking a motivated Environmental Scientist/Geologist/Engineer to join our Hancock, Michigan-based Geoenvironmental project team. The candidate should have a BS, MS, or PhD in Geology, Environmental Science, or Engineering with up to five years of environmental consulting or regulatory experience. This entry to mid-level position’s responsibilities include: field and office support for environmental site assessment and remediation projects, soil, sediment, groundwater, surface water, pore water, and soil gas sample collection, evaluation of analytical data, and documentation of activities. Strong verbal and written communication skills, contaminated sediment evaluation, and ecological restoration experience are desirable. Technical writing experience, mechanical skills, and knowledge or willingness to learn State and Federal environmental regulations are considered a plus.
